Support Engineer

Summary :
Virtual Materials Group Inc., the maker of VMGSim and VMGThermo is expanding in the USA and will be hiring an individual in the position of Simulation Support Engineer in Houston, Texas. This key position provides technical assistance and training to customers and prospects by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provide client support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail, phone and other electronic medium.
  • Work with new prospects assisting them in learning and applying the software
  • Provide training to clients in the use of system and applications
  • In working with user base, identify beneficial customer requirements and document these for development.

Travel:
Out of town travel in the USA is required. Should be less than 15%.

Compensation:
Commensurate with experience, full benefits package

Education and Experience :

BS or higher ChemEng.
2 + years of experience in an operating or engineering company.

Technical Capabilities

  • Excellent knowledge of fundamentals of Chemical engineering
  • Experienced in creating, running and applying chemical process simulation software.
  • Excellent Computer skills
  • Experience with Excel and VB

Language Skills :
Works closely with end users of software. Must have excellent communication skills, including
the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and
prospects.
